Intertextile, why source there?

Last week’s article saw the benefits of attending Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics as an Italian exhibitor, but why source there? At last year’s edition, Italy was among the top 10 visitor countries & regions – read on to discover why.

From 27 – 29 September, around 70,000 buyers* from some 100 countries will source at the apparel industry’s leading trade fair, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics. The entire global textile industry will be represented in Shanghai, with not only 4,400-plus apparel fabrics & accessories suppliers at Intertextile, but also the CHIC and PH Value fairs taking place concurrently, creating an unrivalled sourcing, trend and market information hub for the textile industry.

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics itself includes the full spectrum of apparel fabrics & accessories under one roof, making it the most efficient sourcing experience in the industry. More than 3,400 quality Chinese suppliers will feature this edition in nine halls, while on the international side, 32 countries are represented in 11 country pavilions, 11 group pavilions from the likes of Lenzing, DuPont, Invista, Hyosung and Birla, as well as the popular product zones Accessories Vision, All About Sustainability, Beyond Denim, Functional Lab, Digital Printing Zone, Premium Wool Zone and Verve for Design.

What’s more, the fair features a series of international and domestic trend forums, while visitors can attend tours and seminars on these trends, and for the first time this year, a special display area and presentation on Consumer & Lifestyle Trends by The Doneger Group. As well as providing an excellent sourcing platform, the fair offers a comprehensive fringe programme, where visitors can learn fashion trends, market updates and more directly from global industry experts.
