From March 12-14, 2019 the March edition of CHIC China International Fashion Fair, the most important fashion trade show in Asia, is taking place in Shanghai.
More than 1,400 brands from 16 countries and regions present themselves on 117,200 m² at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
China remains the world´s largest retail market in 2019 and will overtake the USA as the largest clothing market for the first time this year. Strongest drivers: E-commerce and China´s millenials.
In five halls, the different exhibition areas at CHIC encompass all fashion segments from exclusive design section IMPULSES, menswear URBAN VIEW, womenswear NEW LOOK, streetwear CHIC-YOUNG BLOOD, to accessories SECRET STARS, SHANGHAI BAGS, leather, fur and downwear area HERITAGE, and FUTURE LINK etc.
The segment CHIC-TAILORING is premiering with high-quality bespoke collections of more than 70 exhibitors. CHIC-KIDZ will be integrated as show-in-show for the first time with 50 exhibitors. Kidswear is a growth market. GREEN FASHION is growing and integrated in all exhibition segments.
Within the international area FASHION JOURNEY Italy is represented with the largest group participation of 23 brands. Further Italian companies show as individual exhibitors. Germany presents itself under the roof of “Made in Germany” with first time exhibitors like VOCIER and FYNCH-HATTON. Fashion from France is on display in the “Paris Forever” pavilion. Further group participations come from Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Individual exhibitors come from Canada, like Joseph Ribkoff, Belgium, Ecuador, India, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, UK, USA.
