Japan is the new frontier for Denim Première Vision, which has decided to make its debut in Tokyo in September, coinciding with the Japanese edition of Tranoï.
This strategic move will take place on 9 and 10 September at the Yoyogi National Stadium – First Gymnasium in the capital of the Land of the Rising Sun, alongside Tranoï Tokyo.
Following the European editions, with stops in Paris, Barcelona, London, Berlin and Milan, the denim community is preparing for a very long journey to bring the Autumn/Winter 27-28 collections to Japan.
This will be a deliberately selective event, featuring around twenty international exhibitors, gathered in one of the most iconic nations for the world of denim, thanks to its masterful craftsmanship, textile innovations and techniques such as selvedge denim or traditional indigo dyeing.
With this decision, the Fashion division of GL events is strengthening ties between international denim players and Asian markets, and fostering synergies between its two flagship brands, Première Vision and Tranoï.
“Since its inception, Denim Première Vision has supported the international denim community across a range of creative fields. With this special edition in Tokyo, we aim to create a new meeting point between the industry’s key decision-makers and Japan’s particularly creative and dynamic fashion ecosystem,” says Florence Rousson, Chair of the Board of Première Vision and CEO of the Fashion division at GL events.
The selected exhibitors will represent the sectors of denim and innovative fabric production, washing and finishing technologies, trimmings and accessories supply, and innovative solutions in sustainability and new materials. Expected visitors include Japanese and international fashion brands, designers, product development teams, merchandisers, buyers, OEM and ODM partners, as well as specialists in textile innovation and sustainability.
Tranoï Tokyo, meanwhile, will bring 250 collections to Japan, ranging from ready-to-wear to accessories and lifestyle.
